awareness
As a single mom raising two children alone it became all too aparent
early on that reading the fine print on any purchase or service agreement was not only a wise decision but one
that could save me thousands in unnecessary expenses over the years. I became a consumer advocate out of necessity
of survival.
There is no "guide" out there that will make you aware of the risks of
buying online, or how to hire a reputable contractor, or what warranties, plans, extended warranties, etc. are
really worth buying, or even what a hidden disclaimer is.
I needed to know how to protect my limited income while being respected as a consumer
- and if I needed to know, odds are YOU need to know too (and you have a right to know).
